Jokic, Gilgers-Alexander unanimously "Best 5" in NBA

Doncic was named the Most Valuable Player of the Year

Nikola Jokic Denber Nuggets, the most valuable player in the NBA during the 2023-2024 season, was unanimously selected as the top five players in the NBA this season. Shai Gilgers-Alexander, who led the Oklahoma City Thunder's strides, was also honored.

The NBA announced on the 23rd that Jokic and Gilgers-Alexander were selected as the All-NBA First Team for the 2023-2024 season with 99 first-place votes. Luka Doncic Dallas Mavericks, Janis Antetokounmpo Millywood Bucks, and Jason Tatum Boston Celtics followed.

It was an unexpected result. He scored 26.4 points on average in 79 games, bringing in 12.4 rebounds and 9 assists, and displayed impressive performance that was worthy of the best center in the league. Compared to the previous season, he showed improved performance in both scoring and rebounding. He was named the sixth All-NBA team this year.

The presence of Gilgers-Alexander was no different. Oklahoma City, which was ranked at the bottom of the standings in the 2021-2022 season and 10th in the 2022-2023 season, has made a brilliant achievement in taking the top spot in the Western Conference. Although it was eliminated in the playoffs due to the opponent Dallas in the second round, it was recognized for its performance by ranking third in points scored 30.1 points and second in steals 2.0 per regular league game.

Jokic of Serbia and Doncic of Slovenia received 98 votes, just one shy of the unanimous vote. Three European players made the first team including Greek national Yannis Antetokounmpo. There was only one American player, Tatum.

Star players such as LeBron James LA Lakers, Stephen Curry Golden State Warriors, and Kevin Durant Pinix Sons were on the second team and the third team. James made the third team and became the first player to make the All-NBA team 20 times.

The first round of the Western Conference finals between Dallas and the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Minnesota Target Center ended with Dallas winning 108 to 105. Doncic and Kyrie Irving scored a combined 63 points.  안전놀이터 추천
